William Meader, son of William Meader (1750-1829) [0031] and Deborah Skiff (1748-1785), was born September 29, 1781. He went to his father's home in New Bedford after his father's last marriage, and he learned the carpenter's trade. He later returned to Williamsburg, MA, married and settled in New York, where he carried on a sash and blind business.
